ABC-Update - полезный инструмент для сисадминов и продвинутых пользователей, с помощью которого можно полностью контролировать процесс обновления операционной системы Windows. Присутствует возможность вручную указать максимальное количество перезагрузок ПК, выбирать обновления в зависимости даты выхода патчей, номера KB и категорий обновлений и многое другое.
У программы имеется версия с графическим интерфейсом и версия для командной строки, позволяющая пользователю самостоятельно создавать сценарии обновления на основе скриптов. Имеется встроенный планировщик, а также возможность запуска обновлений вручную.
Результат работы приложения можно посмотреть в лог-файле, причём его затем можно отправить на указанный email-адрес. Программа не требует инсталляции.
